Sand Lake Families:

Thank you for all that you continue to do to support your children and our Sand Lake Community. We have made it to the fourth quarter of our school year, which comes with tremendous excitement! From state testing to field trips, these months are sure to be busy for everyone!

We wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some of the upcoming events to aid in your planning. Please know that we will send more specific information your way as they come closer, but we wanted to share these dates in advance.

  • April 17th: PTG Chuck E. Cheese Night Fundraiser
  • April 24th: Earth Day Celebration for students at Sand Lake
  • May 4th-May 8th: Staff Appreciation Week!
  • May 22nd: Sand Lake All School Picnic
  • May 28th: Sand Lake Field Day

Inside the school, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are in the midst of their Forward testing. This provides us with valuable information about our students' achievements and how we can continuously improve our instructional practices.

As we begin the final quarter of the school year, we’d also like to recognize our 5th grade students! They’ll soon have the chance to take part in special events like the 5th grade bash, a bike trip, and their farewell breakfast. We look forward to celebrating this important milestone in their time at Sand Lake and wish them continued success in the future.

To our 5th grade families, thank you for your ongoing support. It truly means a great deal! We are committed to helping make the transition to middle school as smooth as possible and are collaborating closely with our partners at HMS to support every student. From the PE Teacher: Ms. Franzen

Hello Sand Lake Families!

  • Our Walking School Bus will take place on Tuesdays this spring. The planned dates are April 28th, May 5th, and May 12th, weather permitting. Keep an eye out for an email with more information soon!
  • Sand Lake Field Day will be held on Thursday, May 28th. More details about volunteering for the event will be coming.

Thank you, everyone, for your help with desserts and goodies to support our staff during parent-teacher conferences! We heard they were delicious!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Sand Lake PTG is hosting another fundraising event with the big cheese - Mr. Chuck E Cheese himself! On Friday, April 17, from 3:00-9:00 p.m., stop by the restaurant for a fun time with your friends and enjoy some pizza. When you order, mention Sand Lake, and we'll benefit up to 25% of your purchase! Who knows...maybe Chuck will stop by the school again?

We are also now offering childcare during our PTG meetings! Please consider coming to our next one: Monday, May 4 @ 5:30 p.m. at Sand Lake. We'd love to meet you and hear your awesome ideas!

From Nutritional Services

Meal Account Reminder:

Families receive an automated email notification when their student’s meal account balance reaches $10 or less. If your student does not qualify for free or reduced-price meals, we kindly ask that you make a payment promptly to avoid any disruption in meal service.


Payment Options:
  • Cash or check (payable to Student Universal Nutrition or SUN)
  • Online through Infinite Campus
    • For added convenience, Infinite Campus also offers the option to set up recurring payments. After the initial transaction, future payments do not incur a fee. This is a great way to stay on top of your student’s account while also saving on transaction costs.
