Sand Lake Elementary Newsletter-November

From the Principal: Mr. Meyers

Sand Lake Families,

As we enter November and approach the season of gratitude, we want to thank you for your continued support of your child’s education. We are truly grateful to partner with you in serving our students and community. In this issue, we are excited to highlight some upcoming events that bring our school community together!

In Partnership,

From the School Counselor: Mrs. Lamprecht
From the Health Office: Tiphany Kokott, RN

As the chilly weather brings out coats, hats, and scarves, our School Health Services Team wants to share a quick reminder to keep our classrooms healthy and head-lice-free! While lice are a common nuisance, they don't spread disease. Our top priority is supporting families with care and discretion.

Tips for Families:

Quick Head Check: Look for frequent scratching or small nits near the scalp, especially after sleepovers or sports.

Keep Items Separate: Remind your children to store outerwear in their own cubbies and avoid sharing hats, helmets, or hair ties.

Our Policy: If lice are found, students may finish their school day. They can return as soon as home treatment begins—we do not exclude students for nits alone.

More detailed information on what you need to know can be found here.

If you ever need guidance or have questions, please reach out to our school health office. Thank you for helping us keep our students comfortable and ready to learn!

From the Music Teacher: Mrs. Heerts

Our music programs are quickly approaching! Here are the details:

Second Grade Program - Dashing Through the Show: December 3 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sand Lake Cafeteria. Concert dress is nice clothes. Students will meet in their classrooms at 5:45 p.m. and be picked up after the concert in their classrooms.

Fourth Grade Program - Candy Cane Lane: December 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sand Lake Cafeteria. Concert dress is nice clothes. Students will meet in their classrooms at 6:45 p.m. and be picked up there after the concert.

Since we are hosting two concerts this year on December 3, please note there may be parking constraints. Additional parking is available at Coulee Life Church located next to Sand Lake Elementary.

We kindly ask that if you are arriving early, please be mindful of supervising your children so the performers can have a calm environment to prepare and enter in to.

We can’t wait to share our hard work with all of you!
